It has been decided to issue laminated ration cards with the photograph of the cardholder during the renewal of ration cards 2007. The hon'ble Chief Minister Sri. V. S. Achuthanandan has inaugurated the taking of the photograph at a function held at the PRD chamber at 10.30AM on 31.05.2007. Consequently Keltron will take the photograph of the cardholders through out the state in the ensuing two months. The application form (data sheet) for the renewal of ration cards will be issued to the cardholders free of cost from the respective ration shops and the cardholders should correct/fill the form and put his signature on it.The completed age as on 01.01.2007 should be entered on the second page. Birth certificate, Reduction certificate, Surrender certificate, Non-inclusion certificate etc should be enclosed with the form for the inclusion of new members. The photograph of the cardholder will be taken between "9AM and 4PM" and the details regarding the centers will be announced through Local print, media and ration shops.         If the existing cardholder cannot present for taking the photograph, due to oldage or abroad, the second member may present for taking photograph with the application corrected accordingly. The renewed ration cards will be issued after the APL/BPL survey conducted by the Local self Government is completed.Controller of Rationing Director of Civil Supplies
